AEDC has implemented a pilot project in Lephalale were the first 5 low
cost houses have received fuel cells for basic electricity. These houses
will form the benchmark for the national low cost housing projects that
are planned in areas that do not have access to common electricity.
There are some 1200 houses in Lephalale that will benefit from AEDC fuel
cells once the pilot project after operating for 3 month is completed.

basic electricity in the world. The project is in GUYUNI in Limpopo,

AEDC has won the national Energy Globe award for Namibia under the section:
“rural sustainable alternative energy.” The ENERGY GLOBE AWARDS, endorsed by
former UN secretary general Kofi Annan and Nobel peace prize winner Michail
Gorbatschow, received more than 853 entries from 109 countries.

AEDC wins major tech award in
San Jose, California
The CEO of AEDC has won the prestigeous tech award on the 19th of
November 2009 during a gala event in San Jose, California. This event is
the highlight of the year in San Jose and is held by the tech museum in
conjunction with the department of applied materials.
15 Laureates, in 5 categories are featured with their respective
projects.

AEDC has introduced an electric toy car operating on a fuel cell cell
for education purposes. This car needs no tools for assembly and
operates with salt water as electrolyte. It is environmental friendly
and ideal for science projects in schools were learners as of the age of
6 years can build their own car. The anodes can be changed to allow
multiple use of operation.
