CHUNGA CAMP
PROJECT ~ Zambia
In the Kafue
National Park, in one of the most isolated, almost inaccessible parts of
Zambia lies the breathtakingly beautiful village, Chunga. It has all the
ingredients of a typical, happy rural community but with one major
disadvantage – they have no services, specifically
electricity.
|
|
A current and key project in Zambia will provide mobile phone coverage where
no network is likely to go in the near future.
AEDC
will provide
fuel cells
for
lights
and
lap tops
for education are being provided for the learners. AEDC fuel cells will also
power
street lights as well as anti-mosquito units,
developed in conjunction with S.C. Johnson.
The AEDC fuel cells provide basic energy 24/7 with
NO carbon footprint and
are manually rechargeable in the field; they are therefore a renewable
energy with no negative environmental impact.
